Ken O’Brien introduces Nexus IOS, a digital full arch restorative solution which guarantees a passive fit every time.
Please introduce yourself
My name is Ken O’Brien and I’m the director of business development in Europe for Keystone Dental.
What is Nexus IOS?
Nexus IOS is a really exciting product developed by Osteon Medical in Australia. It’s a complete digital full arch solution that basically streamlines implant prosthetic workflows.
What specific problem or need does your product address on the market?
To think about it very simply, it allows full arch clinicians to utilise their intraoral scanners to complete treatment. If you look at that topic a little deeper, there’s always been a debate about accuracy of full arch scans using intraoral scanners.
That’s where the patented Nexus system really kicks in, because it allows the clinician to gather the required information in a very streamlined and efficient way, but also very accurately.
How would you say it sets itself apart from conventional workflows?
It’s simple to use, it’s accurate up to 10 microns, it allows you to complete a treatment restoratively in two appointments, and it ensures a passive fit every time.
It’s quick, so there’s less chairside patient time. And not only that, but all our restorations come with a bar so the restorative space required is minimised, lending itself to clinicians that don’t favour aggressive bone reduction. But it can also be used for bone reduction if necessary.
And the bonus is there’s a lifetime guarantee on the bars.
How can a clinician get involved with Nexus IOS?
Very, very simply. Pop onto the website, nexusios.com, and register your interest. Or, alternatively, you can reach out to me.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I’m just looking forward. We have been very busy at the moment as there’s a huge amount of interest in this product.
It’s obviously very large in Australia and in North America – we are completing up to about 600 arches a month at the moment.
I’m looking forward to bringing this to the UK and Europe!
