The 2024 Digital and Implant Dentistry Show introduces revamped and refreshed lecture theatres, the Vanguard Theatre and the Visionary Theatre.
The Vanguard Theatre at the Digital Implant Dentistry Show stands at the forefront of innovation. Here, attendees will be immersed in pioneering lectures on cutting-edge practices. Tailored sessions for principals and practice managers delve into the evolving landscape of dentistry, blending both digital and implant insights.
Bethany Brown and Emily Pittard: Digitally designed try ins for FP1 and FP3
Emily Pittard is a fully qualified clinical dental technician, dental technician and dental nurse. She has a solid understanding of implants and has restored over 400 implant retained locator patients.
Qualifying from the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) as a clinical dental technician, Emily is now a member of the British Academy of Clinical Dental Technicians (BACDT) and the College of General Dentistry. She is also part of a working group who are building and developing the role of the clinical dental technician and dental technician in the UK.
Bethany Brown is a prosthetic and digital dental technician, completing her original qualification in 2018 and her MSc in dental technology in 2023.
In 2022, Bethany launched The Party Enamel, an inclusive business that aims to encourage the development of dental technicians worldwide through the means of CPD courses, mentoring and webinars. She also developed, produced and runs a global dental technology community and mobile app called Tech Talk. This provides collaborations through shared resources, information, motivation, and support for dental T=technicians, regardless of their experience or current opportunities to develop their career.
Digital benefits
This lecture will cover the differences of FP1 and FP3 and the benefits of digital over traditional analogue methods. Common 3shape errors and CAD/CAM protocols will be discussed, as well as what a clinician needs to provide laboratories for this to be achievable.

Jan Einfeldt is a speaker for Itero and Invisalign. He has been an Invisalign provider since 2008 and has been teaching intra oral scanning to dentists since 2017. Martina is the owner of two dental practices in Yorkshire – The Dental Studio and The Dental Architect – which won Best Patient Care and Practice of the Year at the recent Dentistry Awards.
She has developed a world-class digital patient journey within her practices and is dedicated to sharing her knowledge by mentoring her associates and team as well as hosting regular events and study clubs for her peers. In addition, she has recently launched The Aligner Launchpad, a two-day course for dentists.

Mark Hughes: Ortho-restorative in the digital age
With more than 30 years in clinical practice, Mark Hughes has attained a reputation as one of the most accomplished cosmetic dentists in the UK.
He qualified from Trintiy College Dublin Dental school in 1992 and has undergone post graduate training at the Eastman UCL and the Pankey Institute in Florida. He is also an accredited member of the British Association of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) and long-standing member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD).
Mark’s lecture will review the history of ortho-restorative treatment and demonstrate the differences between fully analogue, hybrid and fully digital ortho-restorative workflows. Case studies of each type will be presented and include a presentation on a case planned with Invisalign Smile Architect and Exocad.
