Jason Buglass explains how he is hoping to raise money for Aerobility.
I’d like to tell you about a very exciting charity project, currently underway, which we would love you to get involved with.
I am Jason Buglass, director of Implantium UK Ltd. In my spare time (when I actually have any) I enjoy flying, and for the past 30 years have been piloting aircraft for pleasure and business purposes. Recently, my son Bruce and I became directors of Bushcat UK, official distributors of the Skyreach Bushcat kit aircraft – a cost effective, modular aircraft that makes flying affordable and accessible to anyone interested in flying and aircraft engineering.
During our time as pilots we have been keen supporters of Aerobility the home of disabled flying. Aerobility are a user led organisation (ULO), run largely by disabled aviators, for disabled people. Through various fundraising initiatives and careful management strategies they allow disabled people to fly for a fraction of the commercial rate.
Aerobility also provides advice, knowledge and advocacy for disabled people who wish to fly, and is the representative body for disabled aviation within the UK.
So for 2018 we decided to create The Bushcat Challenge to raise money and support for Aerobility.
So what is The Bushcat Challenge?
During the week of The 2018 Farnborough Air Show, 15 team members, nominated by Aerobility and the Light Aircraft Association will take part in a six-day time challenge to build one Bushcat Aircraft and fly it at the end of the show. This is an exciting project for everyone involved and will help raise awareness for Aerobility.
Bushcat UK is supplying and making a sizeable donation to the kit but we’re offering people the opportunity to donate and sponsor a part of the aircraft – so we need your donations!
Your name or company name will appear on the aircraft, when you donate
All proceeds will go straight to Aerobility who will keep and maintain the aircraft after the show, helping disabled people live life to the full through the magic of flight! Please visit www.aerobility.com to find out more about this fantastic charity.
To get involved with The Bushcat Challenge please visit us at www.bushcatuk.com where you can find a full list of parts which you can sponsor.
Thanks in advance of your support – your donation will make a real difference to the lives of many disabled people associated with Aerobility.
