Maggie Andi: Embracing AI and becoming a patient centred leading digital practice
Maggie Andi is the owner of Mill Hill Dental Practice. She is passionate about promoting holistic dentistry and raising awareness of the links between oral health, lifestyle, and mental health.
Maggie is an early adopter of technology and was one of the first UK dentists to use the Inman Aligner, Cerec, Smilefast and Avante Garde systems.
In this presentation, Maggie will be casting an eye over the use of digital technologies integrated with AI, assessing their importance in shaping practice growth and the modern patient experience

Faresh Desai: Efficiency redefined – streamlining practices with the Straumann Virtuo Vivo intraoral scanner
After graduating from University of Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2002, Faresh has continued to pursue further training, increasing his knowledge and skills.
He has over 15 years of experience in surgical and restorative implant dentistry, sinus and bone grafting, as well as extensive experience in IV sedation.
Faresh has been a guest speaker for leading implant companies on national and international platforms. His commitment to the profession is shown by the numerous national and international courses.
He has a wealth of knowledge in restorative and implant dentistry with a keen interest in complex and full arch rehabilitation.
This presentation will discuss how intraoral scanning can streamline processes within the dental practice, especially in implant dentistry using the Virtuo Vivo and associated platforms.

Jacopo Di Terlizzi: Predictable and repeatable results – main pitfalls and solutions to overcome them successfully
Jacopo Di Terlizzi has been working since 2021 as a dental technician at Steger Dental Laboratory (Zirkonzahn) in Brunico, Italy.
Specialised in CAD/CAM and digital technology, he works as course instructor and is part of Zirkonzahn’s dental technical support department. He also speaks at dental technical events and conferences worldwide.
The lecture draws attention to technical aspects and factors that influence the final result of a zirconia restoration. By demonstrating simple and complex zirconia cases, Jacopo will illustrate the challenges arisen during each workflow step from patient diagnostic to characterisation, providing keys to overcome them successfully.
Jacopo will:
- Define technical aspects and factors determining predictable, high-end treatment outcomes
- Demonstrate strategies to avoid common pitfalls in the dental technical workflow (eg impression-taking, occlusion registration, passivity check via the Sheffield Test and correct material selection)
- Indicate how digital approaches can play a key role in enhancing quality and improving communication within the treatment team.
Gary Moynes: Adin implants in clinical practice – their use in various clinical scenarios, and moving from analogue towards digital solutions
Gary Moynes graduated from Birmingham University in in 1989. He completed a postgraduate diploma in restorative dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute, London.
Following this he went on to gain the advanced diploma in implant dentistry, along with the advanced certificate in bone grafting at the Royal College of Surgeons, England.
After nearly fifteen years of experience working with Adin implants, Gary will offer an overview of the versatility and clinical applications of the Adin implant system. He will also discuss how the features of the system integrate well with various techniques, including moving towards the future, with fully guided digital pathways.

- Understanding the key features of a particular type of dental implants
- How the key features relate to day-to-day clinical practice techniques
- How new technology will lead to fully guided surgery.
Cemal Ucer: Digital 3D implant reconstruction of the atrophic jaw
Cemal Ucer is a professor of MSc implant dentistry at the University of Salford. He is a member of the faculty of examiners of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh’s diploma in implant dentistry and past president of the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI).
On his lecture, Cemal said: ‘The atrophic jaw poses challenges due to insufficient availability of alveolar bone that excludes successful provision of conventional implant treatment.
‘This presentation will discuss the evidence-based innovative strategies offered at the ZAGA Centre Manchester for 3D guided reconstruction of the atrophic jaw.’
Cemal’s lecture will:
- Discuss the application of digital workflow in oral and maxillofacial and implant rehabilitations
- Review the evidenced based strategies for 3D reconstruction of the edentulous jaw
- Evaluate the use of customised 3D grafts and guided site specific implants including zygomatic, pterygoid and 3D printed patient specific subperiosteals for the reconstruction of the edentulous jaw.
Lola Welch: The power of conversion – all on X full arch immediate load
Lola is a senior prosthetic technician at Ceramic Designs Laboratory in Hove, UK. She graduated from the Medical University of Warsaw in 2004 and moved to the UK the same year.
She spent 12 years working as an in-house technician at Dawood & Tanner referral practice in London where she learned all aspects of implant supported dentistry.
In 2016 she joined Ceramic Designs Laboratory where she is responsible for a full workflow of ‘all on x’ restorations, starting from implant planning, through to conversion and the final restoration.
Attendees will gain:
- Greater confidence through learning and understanding the protocols and stages of the immediate load conversion
- Understanding of what materials would work best in any given situation
- Confidence in all the stages starting from the teeth set up to the work on the day of the procedure.
