Join Nikolas Vourakis on Wednesday 24 May at 7pm as he discusses vertical hard and soft tissue reconstruction in implant dentistry.
As a follow on from ‘The key principles to master for hard and soft tissue techniques’, this one hour lecture is aimed at implant dentists who have a solid level of experience in performing hard and soft tissue augmentation procedures.
The session will recap on the key principles to follow and how these principles feature in complex bone grafting approaches necessary for implant placement along with soft tissue augmentation techniques designed to support the long-term survival and success of the implant placed.
The lecture will cover horizontal and vertical bone augmentation including the Khoury Technique and the Sausage Technique along with guidance on when to use autologous and when to introduce grafting material alternatives when aiming to achieve predictable results in the most compromised situations. Advanced procedures, utilising digital planning and guided surgery will be demonstrated for the treatment of small spaces and full arches reconstructions.
Learning outcomes
Delegates will learn the principles of horizontal and vertical bone augmentation techniques to include GBR, block grafts; split bone technique (Khoury) and sausage technique soft tissue augmentation for the treatment of the partially and full edentulous patient.
Upon completion of this webinar delegates should understand:

- How to achieve horizontal bone augmentation and re-establish the soft tissue after augmentation
- The biological concepts behind these procedures and what biologic materials to use when
- The contra-indications and how to deal with potential complications intra and post-operative.
